Goggles 3 Universal Adapter System

The Universal Adapter System, or U.A.S., is our solution for mounting and using the DJI Goggles 3.

The U.A.S. features a two piece design, the lower portion is a base that is glued to the goggles and the top portion is a replaceable QD socket that screws on to the base. 

How would I use these?

1 - If you have done the goggles mod to accept aftermarket NVG style mounts, our adapters provide you the option to use a head strap for Goggles use without a helmet

2 - If you don't want to do the goggles mod, our adapters can be used as mounting points to connect to a helmet.  Slight uptilt on helmet will occur.3

- There are multiple ways to connect to a helmet, we have found that any mounting straps work best when run parallel to the top ARC rail.

Fast set epoxy or glue (JB Weld Superweld HIGHLY recommended)

Sandpaper

Directions

1. Dry fit adapters on each side of goggles to identify where they will sit. Adapters should fit in the middle of the curve on the sides and should have an equal reveal on top and bottom
2. Lightly scuff location where adapters will be glued with sandpaper.
3. Using a fast set glue, we highly recommend JB Weld Superweld for its instant set and strength, tack the adapters in place with a couple drops of glue. 
4. Ensure adapters are in the correct position with correct reveal
5. Place drops of glue in each channel around the edge of the adapters. 
6. "Paint" glue around the entire edge of the adapters in about a 1/4" width. Aim for 50/50 coverage on the edge of the adapter and goggles. 
7. Peel the foam pad off the original battery pack and apply hook and loop where the pad was. Place the hook side on the battery pack.

Following these steps will ensure strong connection between the adapters and the goggles and allow you to attach the battery pack to a helmet (if needed).
